Sorry it's been a while, had a bit of a brain injury and I've been dealing with it. But, I'm out there again and with a new camera, Osmo Action 4! This walk is a park a few blocks from where I live, at the northern tip of Manhattan!

Some of those on stage, Cameron Macintosh, Sarah Birghtman, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Emilie Kouatchou, Ben Crawford (although he didn't perform this night) etc. This was a slideshow of all those playing Christine and the Phantom since the show opened on Broadway! Sorry for the quality, didn't have a better camera last night...:(

Sorry, it's long overdue, but here it is...;) Starting at the Manitou Metro North Station, head over to Rt. 9D, taking that south til the Appalachian Trail. Took the AT nobo for a fairly strenuous climb to the "blue trail". Took that sobo to the overlook. After an awesome lunch break at the overlook, too the blue trail back nobo but continued on the AT nobo til South Mountain Pass, taking that ...

Great ride 🚴in the City!
It was! Beautiful day too..;)
what stunning you are right there clarity so well done
I don't know what it is, but time-lapse of sky always mesmerizes me 😮
I put the video camera on a tripod, set it to take a shot ever 2 seconds then the camera (Osmo Action 4) makes it into a video.;) The two clips in this video took roughly an hour to record..;)
nice!
Thanks.;)
Looks ominous! Did you get any precipitation? I was anxiously waiting for some thunder ⛈️ storm here in Central Jersey, but no nothing..😢
She never replies to comments.
I did get caught, it came down really hard but luckily for only like ten minute…;).
@@DivinityIsPurity I don’t?
@@DivinityIsPurity Hmm, I get her reply all the time, mostly sooner than later.
Looking back on the whole pandemic, I can't help but notice how tucked away and isolated Rego Park felt during the outbreak. I rarely left it during most of 2020, with the Key Foods supermarket, Juniper Valley Park as well as the Queens center mall and various smaller stores providing everything I needed at the time.
quick question do I need atc approval to fly here? I like going to Astoria park at times and I just bought a drone.
Download UAV Forecast, it'll show you. BUT, that area now is no fly zone because of the flight path for LGA. Last time I called the tower, like 4 years ago, the said don't bother calling us. If it's a DJI drone, it probably won't let you take off anymore, but the flight path does change and also sometimes it changes the ceiling from 400ft to 100ft or lower!
@@JenNYC263 thank you
It was so emotional to say farewell to the Phantom.
hi! what drone u use for this beautiful video? i planning to buy drone with camera but can't make choice...
This was shot with a DJI Mavic. It's old now, but i wouldn't recommend as an entry level drone more because of the price. DJI makes a few more models that are better to try as a first like the Mini or the Air..:) It is a lot of fun but check your local laws, many places make them illegal now...:(
@@JenNYC263 thank you very much... soon in this country will be illegal walk on the streets. but marijuana is okay!
nice!
What city is it in?
NYC..;)
nice, what were you settings?
Lovely ❤
you should look at the playground
I used to live there
Still don't get how this doesn't look appealing for a vacation. To anyone. Seems it should be thriving to this day
I spent my early years from 1944 until 1956 in Rego Park. 6389 Saunders Street and went to PS 139. It seemed to be a great place to live with lots of fun stuff for kids to do, good schools, lots of nice people and great food. Then my Dad retired from 112th Precinct and we moved to Northport in Suffolk County, Long Island. Things were a lot different. Some good, some bad. Then I graduated from High School and went in he USAF and in 1961 I went to Biloxi, MS for about 6 month of School and I found out that anywhere in NY was better than where I was.
hey! i live on SI
traying to find translation of that name. will be there this Friday, Aug 25.
Thank you Jenni! Hoping to go next week.
Oh, My ... Glad you are doing good enough to take a walk in the park. And testing out a new camera.
Thanks! It's long overdue!
Hi! Cool vid - question for you - do you think the steep uphill party is “scary” considering doing this hike, dont mind strenuous at all but have a fear of heights sometimes when hiking
Hi Amy, it's not scary. You're never really by any drops except by the Nose and you can chose how close as you'd like to get to the edge there..;) Totally great hike, hope you enjoy!
More like outdoor food venues and sky timelapse
Jenni. Thank you so much. I enjoyed that immensely !!!
What a wonderful and bittersweet tribute to the phantom on Broadway will be sadly miss
Great clip how many did you do hiking the trail back and fourth
Quite a contrast from the creepy view of the facility at ground level. ruclips.net/video/q7qxL7icPhA/видео.html
I saw videos of people who've gone inside, I'm amazed since there was a police car patrolling the place the entire time I was there..;)
Didn't even see it till it rattled
Sadly, they recently tore it down....:( i95rock.com/the-demolition-of-the-historic-bennett-school-for-girls-in-millbrook-new-york/
Big old boy or girl, catching some rays, warming up for the day. Gives the hiker fair warning, moseys off and hopefully catches a nice fat mouse. Thanks for an excellent video.
utter garbage gets millions of views but pure scenery gets 139 views behold the single best argument for original sin
Thank you for sharing your adventures .
Always a great hike! We love the AT through NY.
The last thing that timber wants is anything to do with this woman. They are a very docile snake 🐍 and give humans a very wide berth, if he bites you you made your own bed. If she was a mouse, Rat 🐀 or many other things, that rattler would have been silent. Say thank you for warning and move on.
Where’s this Jenni ?
This is in Harriman State Park NY. Where the 7 Hills and Reeves Brook Trails cross.;)
@@JenNYC263 Jenni I just heard there is a fire Bear Mountain, my son was at Lake Tiorati last night is this in the area do you know ?? I haven’t heard from him today , but I usually don’t until the evenings , the FB page mentioned Harriman Park and I thought this lake was part of it ? Thank u for any info u can give me ..
Thanks for the stroll, I’d never see places like this if it wasn’t for you . 👍😉
This is so scary, my crazy son with his 70lb pack and 65lb dog are doing this today, I sure hope he took the blue blaze because this is unimaginable with what he’s carrying ..
This is not pet friendly, I read a blogger who said it was , I don’t think so .. thank you for your great video of this section, my son was hiking this today with his dog , I tried to warn him to take the blue blaze trail, but of course he’s with other hiking buddies, hopefully he and is dog make it .. 👍🏼
There are bypass trails around all the rocks, so the dogs should be fine. South of 17A is another story, there's a rebar ladder that I don't see how dogs can get up at all.
@@JenNYC263 thanks Jenny , they bypassed the ladder , made it thru the Eastern Pinnacles , but did have to take the blue blaze for the cat rocks 🤙 I’m glad , after seeing u crawling those cat rocks I was worried .. thankfully he knows better what he’s doing than I .. lol
Great video :)!
Thank you!

how many min was the bike ride
Cool found this video laying on bed. Follow along the day trip
Where I'm from I would have shop him no matter what, end of story!!
Notice how ferocious the snake was, moving away from the girl….. They just want to be left alone. Beautiful creatures!
Luckily Eastern Timber Rattlesnakes, while the largest of the rattlesnakes are also the most relaxed. They'll rattle the longest time before attacking but most of the time will just leave if not bothered. But being the largest they have the potential to be the deadliest as they can deliver the largest amount of venom! Supposedly there's a new trend among them now where they don't rattle, they just leave. I've yet to witness that behavior though..;)
Wow, how the park has changed, esp. around Meadow Lake. In the seventies , my siblings and I could walk all around the lake and actually SEE it. Looks like an invasive plant/reed now obscures the view. Shame.😕
I hike Long Path in Harriman SP or Catskills, not intentionally but incidentally. This is the only, for me, NY Long Path hiking video, showing the very beginning of 358 miles trail from Manhattan. Thanks!
Good stuff! That sure looks living up to "SCRAMBLE". 👀 Look forward to full version.
Ganda ng place...sending full support
Thank you, it really is a beautiful area.;)
wow the views are absolutely stunning! I have gone to NY but have not checked out this trail. appreciate you posting this video for us to enjoy. cant wait to see more! 🙌
Thank you! It's a little known trail, but it heads up to Albany, 360 miles long..;)
really dislike the GW bridge, substandard pedestrian walkway, it's way too narrow, too many aggressive east coast bicyclists on it. but this being new york city, it's standard, the port authority doesn't give a s888 about pedestrians. really wanted to walk the long path to the giant stairs, but the few timesi make it over the gw bridge, i walk a little bit on the palisades, and give up, the hiking trail along the highway just is a bummer. i've also walked south toward hoboken along river road to see what the conditions are for pedestrians and bicyclists, and it was really sad, narrow almost non existent sidewalks.
Totally agree with you there, especially they entrance ramp. It looks like they were starting to build a new ramp but I haven't seen any progress on it in ages..:(
